My husband a sausage gourmet, was on the hunt to find the best sausages, he believed to be had in Canberra.
We did try quite a few but had to come back to the Hawker Bangers. My husband has not swayed since. We even take 2 or 3 kilos to Sydney when we visit our son or to Burke to visit other family members.
On a personal note, we have found that James and his staff have always been pleasant and reliable.
We have noted over the years different young lads that apparently are doing their apprenticeship, all were cut from the same bull apparently, as their customer service towards myself and my husband has been pleasant and most helpful.
We will continue to buy our meat from the Hawker Butchery as the old saying goes, when you are onto a good thing, stick to it.
Our sincere thanks to all who work there and to James who has created a lovely atmosphere and well run Butchery, excellent meat and helpfull hints.

- philippe frost Added December 25, 2023★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Tried 2kgs of their plain beef sausages for $10/kg and regretted it. I was dissapointed as they were full of fat, very salty and no better than supermarket sausages ($5/kg). I'll stick to my regular butcher at Jordo's, so much better!
